About Me
My name is Darren McSorley and I’m a year 4 student of Interactive Multimedia Design, at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. I currently reside in Belfast, although I am originally from Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
Skills
Since beginning this course I have developed skills in different web technologies. Some of which include:
I’ve also recently this year starting working with Print Media, producing a series of Posters and Business Cards using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience
For my placement year, I took on an opportunity to work in Dublin with Daithi Conlon and his Website Dublin and Website NI design companies. During this period, I developed a portfolio of websites for a number of different clients. Whilst here, I worked to tight deadlines, and gained valuable experience of the 'real world' of web design. Feel free to check out a selection of the projects I worked on available on my Portfolio.
Interests and Hobbies
I am a very social person and enjoy meeting friends when I am not working. A group of friends and I meet every Saturday to play five aside football in the local leisure centre. Photography is also a particular interest of mine; I find it useful in my web designs as well as being a relaxing pastime.
And Finally..
With plans to graduate in June 2008, I’m keen to continue with a career in web design, building on my previous experience and improving my web design skills.
